Program Director
Big Sandy Camp & Retreat Center, a subsidiary non-profit corporation of the North Central District of The Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA), is looking for an individual to fill the role of Program Director. This is a year-round, full-time, salaried position.
We are located 14 miles northeast of McGregor, Minnesota on beautiful Big Sandy Lake in northern Minnesota. We own 120 acres of land that provides lots of programming opportunities. Current opportunities include a great waterfront area, zipline, low ropes course, walking trails, gym with an indoor climbing wall, craft shop, archery, slingshot range, and tubing hill as well as others.
Our preference in candidates is 4+ years of Christian camping experience, a willingness to be licensed with the C&MA as an official worker, a bachelor’s degree, and a commitment to be a part of our full-time staff team to accomplish our mission of Jesus Christ “Touching hearts and changing lives.”
Interested candidates should be able to lead and recruit a seasonal, summer staff of 25, relate to young people and adults, plan camps and retreats, organize their workload, and implement strategies and plans to accomplish our mission. This individual will program weeks of summer camps during our summer season of June through August. We have a second season between September and May that this individual will program fall retreats, winter youth retreats, and spring retreats.

Food Service Director
Big Sandy Camp and Retreat Center is a 130 acre, year round facility in North Central Minnesota on the NE shore of Big Sandy Lake. Big Sandy Camp is a ministry dedicated to “Touching Hearts and Changing Lives” and serves 7-8000 children, families and adults every year.
We are seeking a Food Service Director. The applicant must be a dedicated follower and servant of Jesus Christ; Must be in-agreement with the Christian and Missionary Alliance statement of faith; must be a ministry minded team player; must be experienced in food service and a variety of general kitchen functions, including managing food and supplies, ordering from vendors as well as food preparation. A candidate must be able to direct, supervise and work with summer staff and volunteers. Must be thorough, organized, flexible and able to obtain necessary food service credentials. Compensation package includes: cash salary, fully paid health insurance and retirement contribution.
